He decido escribir este post en espa\u00f1ol y en ingl\u00e9s porque quiero compartir esto con mis amigos que\u00a0 no hablan espa\u00f1ol y quiero honrar a quienes inspiraron este post.<\/p>\n

I decided to write this post in Spanish and also in English because I want to share this with my friends that don\u2019t speak Spanish and I want to honor those who inspired this post.<\/p>\n

La historia: hace 2 a\u00f1os conoc\u00ed\u00a0 al matrimonio Susan y Tom Senstad en Lanzarote, a quienes inici\u00e9 en Reiki. Susan es norteamericana de origen y Tom es noruego. Viven en Oslo, Noruega y parte del a\u00f1o en Lanzarote, Espa\u00f1a. Son generosos, amables e inquietos, Susan es una excelente escritora<\/a> y Tom siempre est\u00e1 inventando\/ solucionando alguna cosa. Le\u00ed un libro de Susan, Music for the third eye<\/a>, \u00a0que me inspir\u00f3 a meditar sobre los hechos de la Europa actual.
\nThe story: 2 years ago I met a couple, Susan and Tom Senstad, in Lanzarote, whom I initiated in Reiki. Susan was born in America and Tom is from Norway. They live in Oslo, Norway, and part of the year in Lanzarote, Spain. They are generous, kindly and eager, Susan is a very good writer<\/a> and Tom is always inventing \/ fixing something. I read one of Susan\u2019s books,\u00a0 Music for the third eye,<\/a> that inspired me to meditate about the facts in the present-day Europe.<\/p>\n

Con motivo de los terribles atentados que sufri\u00f3 Noruega les dej\u00e9 un mensaje en Skype. Respondieron con esta carta, que publico con su autorizaci\u00f3n y que no necesita de mis comentarios, s\u00f3lo de mi traducci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

With the occasion of the horrific attacks that Norway suffered I left them a message on Skype. They answered with this letter, that I publish with their authorization and don\u2019t need any comments from me, just my translation.<\/p>\n

Nos damos cuenta que estamos atrasados envi\u00e1ndoles unas palabras para decirles que no nosotros ni aquellos cercanos a nosotros fueron heridos en los espantosos ataques del viernes. Muchos de ustedes nos han enviados mails \u00a0preocupados- as\u00ed que , por favor, disculpen este mail grupal.<\/p>\n

Dear All of You,
\nWe realize we’re late sending you word that we\u2019re fine, that neither we nor those close to us were injured in the gruesome attacks on Friday.\u00a0 Many of you have sent us worried emails – so please excuse this group message.<\/p>\n

Estoy conmocionada por la \u201cdiabol\u00f3gica\u201d \u00a0l\u00f3gica de la insania, pero m\u00e1s bien quisiera compartir un poco de la sabidur\u00eda de la respuesta de Noruega al asesinato de sus hijos.<\/p>\n

I’m shaken by insanity’s diabological \u00ablogic,\u00bb but I’d rather share a taste of the wisdom of Norway’s response to the murder of its children.<\/p>\n

El rey Harald, la reina Sonia, su hijo el pr\u00edncipe heredero Haakon y su Mette-Marit nos han dejado ver sus l\u00e1grimas. El rey prometi\u00f3 que nuestros valores humanistas no ser\u00edan sacudidos. El primer ministro Jens Stoltenberg dijo:\u201dAfrontaremos terror y violencia con a\u00fan m\u00e1s democracia, apertura y humanidad- aunque no con inocencia.\u201d Cit\u00f3 una joven mujer de la organizaci\u00f3n \u00a0Partido Laborista Joven que estuvo presente durante los ataques: \u201cSi una persona puede mostrar tanto odio, imaginen cuanto amor podemos mostrar todos nosotros juntos.\u201d<\/p>\n

Our public officials have asked us to put compassion first, to nurture each other, listen to each other, put words to our feelings,\u00a0to respect our vulnerability, to feel our anger and desperation but not allow hate or angst to take over.\u00a0 King Harald, Queen Sonja, their son Crown Prince Haakon and his Mette-Marit all let us see their tears. The King promised that our humanist values would not be shaken.\u00a0 The Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said: \u00abWe will meet terror and violence with even more democracy, openness and humanity – though not with naivity.\u00bb\u00a0 He quoted a young woman from the Labor Party Youth organization who was present during the attacks, \u00abIf one person can show that much hate, imagine how much love we all can show together.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Aqu\u00ed, estas no son solamente palabras bonitas. Ellas brotan de las profundidades, espont\u00e1neamente, con l\u00e1grimas, con tiernos corazones valientes, con la fuerza de diosas maduras y llenas de matices.<\/p>\n

Me siento privilegiada de estar en Noruega.<\/p>\n

Here, these aren’t just pretty words. They well up from the depths, spontaneously, with tears, with tender brave hearts, with the force of mature, nuanced goodness.<\/p>\n

I feel privileged to be in Norway.<\/p>\n

Me mantengo pensando que hubiera sido de los Estados Unidos luego del 11 de septiembre si la vengativa \u201cCruzada Contra el Terrorismo\u201d no hubiera sido la idea central, si hubi\u00e9ramos tenido l\u00edderes aunque sea cercanos al calibre que los l\u00edderes noruegos, incluidos los j\u00f3venes, han probado ser en estos dos \u00faltimos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

I keep thinking what the U.S. might have become after 9\/11 if the vengeful \u00abWar-On-Terrorism Crusade\u00bb had not been the primary thrust, if we’d had leaders anywhere near the calibre Norway’s leaders, including the young ones, have proved themselves to be these last two days.<\/p>\n
